Egg Spots

Well this might have been asked before but I have an 350litre tank with malawi cichlids in it..
A lot of the fish in the tank have egg spots does that mean there males?? I have never had any spawning in my tank even though I asked my Lfs to only give me only 1 male for each type of malawi I have..
The tank has been running since Christmas an I have had the malawi cichlids in there for around 4 months...

I thought this but.... Ken and Deardrie, my breading pair, both have egg spots on their tails! My males all tend to have more but some of my other females do have them so its not always the best way to tell who's who!!
