I've recently started a new aquarium and am currently in a fishless cycle. My water is testing fine: nitrate, pH, hardness, etc. My water temperature is 77F. Anyway, I bought four plants: two Argentine Swords (Echinodorus argentinensis), crested java fern, and a peacock fern. The other two plants seems to be doing fine, but my two swords are starting to develop yellowish/brownish leaves and probably need to be pruned soon. I'm worried there may be a nutrient deficiency issue going on. I provide them with about 12-13 hours of light a day (some of which is actual sunlight coming through the window) and I have mixed FloraPride plant additive into the water. The additive contains Potassium and Iron.

Additive Info:

Soluble Potash (K20).......3.00%
Iron (Fe)..................0.19%
0.19% water soluble Iron (Fe)

From what I'm reading, it seems the Argentine Sword requires a good deal of iron. Is it possible my plants aren't getting enough iron? Also, I know algae growth can cause problems, but my tank has only been cycling for about a week, and the plants haven't been in there for more than 3 days. Should I try a more iron intensive additive?
