So I just successfully bred some blue gene jack dempseys. Wasnāt even expecting it, as I just bought a bunch of female regular jds for my two ebjd males. The alpha female and alpha male hit it off instantly. Now 1.5 months down the road, I noticed they were acting feral during my weekly bloodworm treat. I looked closer and found about 50-70 little new borns.
I noticed during the last week, that my fish werenāt eating their pellets. So Iām hoping to chalk this problem up to that, but my Male has a long transparent poop dangling from him. Iām guessing itās from not eating, as I am OCD about what goes into my tanks.
Last thing, Iād which Iāll ask info on:
Am I able to breed the babies (when they mature) to the beta ebjd, or is that too close of a relation? I am content on keeping away from inbreeding. He will be the babies uncle, so I have concern. Thanks for anyone who gets back to me with useful information.
Iāll try and attach some pics of the parents and bbs.
