Humm, never heard of the company... Stuff looks the part though

by what I have read about these lights are that they are cheaply put together. Take a look at the sellers feedback. I read some of them and even on the positive ones there were a "few" comments about them being cheaply made, but they worked and were great for the price

Thats what I really need, I dont really want to spend $600 on coralife halides, its way out of my budget.
but $250 is fine. All I really need for them is to properly work for my 28gal tank. Most of the corals and clams
I like require MH lights.

By the way they have 150W and 250W bulbs which are better? I know its all depends on corals but lets say I want to get some
Tridacna Clams, hwo much would they need?

Thank you.

for a 28 gallon tank. 150 watt lights would work. but anything on ebay I like to read the feedback not only to see what type of seller the person is, but how the product is once received by the consumer.

What about the heat from the lights? how much higher it will be? I have keep my temp 80F now with the compact lights and I am afraid
that with the halides it might go much higher.

Is the tank open-topped or equipped with a canopy? Also don't forget to look up bigalsonline.com for a good canadian hardware website.

Yes I have a glass canopy on the top and use it all the time. I was wondering how much will be the difference in a heat compare
my compact lights 2x65W (White and Actinic) to 150W metal halide + 2 actinic bulbs

Bigals are way more expensive that I found on the net
I prefer to buy stuff from this guys http://www.jlaquatics.com/ they are in Canada too.

Well if you plan on installing this fixture inside your hood, it'll be a LOT more heat. If you add this fixture to replace your hood, it won't be too much more. Most of the heat will dissapate away from the tank. It may still require a small fan in the summer but should be fine in the winter.
