I brought two parrots last week and only just noticed that one has a light blue outer colour to it's eye whilst one has a lot of orange in it. Both are the orange colour of un-dyed parrots and a good three inches (so large enough to be their natural colour without dye). I'm hoping that they are not dyed as I'm very much against dyed fish.

Its probably natural, I have had parrots with light blue eyes although they were usually black and turned blue when they were excited.

Thanks T but I was actually more worried about the one with the orange eye......I've heard of people dying these fish orange (which is mad considering that they actually end up that colour anyway) and these two are big enough to be naturally orange bt it just seems odd that the outer eye is orange

Cheers
Andy

Yeh that doesnt sound good, can you post a pic?Look along the lateral line are there some scales that look pink.Parrots that have been dyed tend to lose this dyed part last.
