I've read around in this forum and discovered that these are peace loving fish. I have two of them in a 29 gallon with mollies and cory cats. Today I noticed that one of the Gourami's fins have been nipped and the other is being recluse just hiding out in a cavern. Are these good tank mates for the Gouramis?

Unfortunately dwarf gourami's are pretty much the most timid and easily bullied fish around. Tank mates have to be very docile to get along with them. Mollies are very active and its possible they are the culprits in making life pretty miserable for your gourami's. Separating them would be advisable.

i think you should consider the possibility that the gouramis are beating up on eachother. i think thats much more likely than the mollies or corys.

There's more chance it is the gouramis but let's not count out the mollies all together as they can be rather nippy.

I picked up two Dwarf Gouramis. One bullied the pants off the other to the point that I took the bully back to the lfs!! I too have a 30 Gallon tank. They are incredibly territorial fish when they're in numbers. Now my Dwarf roams the tank like he owns the place! He just has some issues with his tank mates at feeding time as they (Colombian Tetra) are a bit savage!- being cousins of Piranhas and all...

Your Dwarf Gourami would love some plants to swim around and hide in. Be careful which plants you chose though.. they have a habit off ripping certain ones apart to make their 'nests'. So far I have got away with Java Fern, Java Moss, and some other large leafed ones. Even my Elodea Densa didn't stand a chance!

Yeah I had some floating Amazonia Frogbite which my Honeys have all but totally ruined. I have a few tiny leaves left but that's it.
