Hello all I'm new in here just joined today infact. I have been reading everywhere that to help Gourami mate you should do all sorts with your tank e.g. drop water level, get a sponge filter etc. I have done none of this and my male decided he was going to build a nest (fabulous).
Luckily I have a large tank and he chose a quiet spot. I now have about 40ish 2 day old fry!!! I have been feeding them liquifry and they seem to be doing fine but i'm just worried about the other fish.
I have two polypterus in there and i was in the process of moving the "meal sized" fish into my smaller tank when he decided to build his nest, grrr ruddy males! lol.
How quick do the fry grow and when will it be safe for me to move them all into my community tank from the predator tank?
