She (i believe it to be female), has been in the tank with only neons for about two months now. Tonight she has started making a bubble nest. She seems perfectly happy but with no male in the tank what will happen to the eggs when she lays them?

I don't want a nest full of festering eggs in a few days

Usually males that build them, are you able to upload a photo for us? If it is a male then obviously you have no need to worry about any eggs. If its a female, I'm not sure she will spawn without a male present? :/

Either way I wouldnt worry! If the eggs don't eventually get eaten then just scoop the whole nest out when doing your next water change. A few rotting eggs won't create too much ammonia! :D

Agree with the others. I've definately had male Dwarves build bubble nests but I can't ever remember seeing a female build one (which doesn't say they can't!) At any rate, building bubble nests is a frequent activity, regardless of whether it gets used!
