how big is your tank? what temperature is the tank? what are the other inhabitants? and i also don't know of any dwarf cihlids that are mid- top feeders, in my experince they are more in the lower region of the tank

Yeah theyll all hang round mid to bottom.. My advice, get 1 angel to fill the middle and as for the top, i have a pair of gold panchaks that hover on the surface and these guys are awesome! Ur cichlids wont bother them.

panchax is a killifish (i think) and i wouldnt add angels until we know how large the tank is, and the tankmates. but for a top dwelling fish the panchax would be great

Be careful with the panchax, they can be quite aggressive, depending on the mix in your tank.

Yeah the panchax is a killifish.. I think the aggression is only really between two male panchax's.. My 2 swim with guppies and never harmed them. They sit on the top and your dwarf cichlids will mainly roam the bottom anyway.

we cannot offer any stocking yet until we know the size of your tank first. for example, we could say an angelfish would be fine, but it could be a 10 gallon aquarium. or we could say a ram cichlid would be fine, but there could be other agressive fish in the tank. so woodyboy18, we cannot give you an accurate fish list until we know your tank size, and inhabitants, etc.

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply, i don't come on here much! haha I just wanted to know what dwarf cichlids hanged near the top.

I've got two tanks of 14 Gallons, ones taller and the second is wider! But i'm using the wider tank of 14 gallons at the moment.

I have got:

3 x Honey Gourami's
2 x baby bristlenose
2 x zebra corys
2 x Ottos
2 x Bolivia Rams
1 x baby Golden Ram
3 x neons
2 x Apple snails.

zebra corys are schooling fish, same with ottos, so both like to be in groups of at least 6, same with neons. The bristlenose plecos will be too big for the tanks, The golden ram and bolivain rams need to be in sepeate tanks. And you will eventually have a huge snail outbreak

Well they all seem to be happy in the tank. Both bristlenoses are babies but will be moved on when needs be. I've had my two snails for near enough two years. No sign of babies yet...

Hope to be moving out soon along with a Rio 400
