Duckweed

Hello...

I recently got some duckweed but am having trouble keeping it on the surface as the filter pushes it down. I've got an Aquaclear 30 and it dumps water into the tank, so the duckweed falls down with it, then gets sucked into my filter...

How can I stop this? With a barrier of some sort? I want it to be mostly invisible, of course, so that it's appealing to the eye.

I'd be interested to see if there's a solution to this too. I had some duckweed but it's all gone now, a victim of the filter monster.

Well right now I've created a ring with air line tubing around the filter output. The duckweed still gets pushed around on the surface, but it doesn't get pushed down because it's safe from the downfall of the waterfall. I just tied the tube to the filter with some string... but I'm gonna get some airline suction cup things for a more permanent solution..
