Can drift would change your water?? I tested my water a day after I changed my water and my levels are high....I just put a piece of drift wood in there.

For me, it is only ever decreased the PH and caused the water to change colour due to the tanins leaking out. Did you get it from a shop or find it in nature? If so to the later, maybe there were chemicals or something on it?

It will lower pH
