Does Uv Affect Skimmer Production

Should adding a UV affect how a skimmer operates

I have a mce600 which has been running fine, now added a uv and the skimmer cup keeps overflowing all the time???

Well, umm in the short-term, maybe, but in the long-term it shouldn't. UV will kill waterborne single-cellular or very small multicellular organisms. So when you add it, it may kill these organisms, and their bodies/decomposition could cause the skimmer to "go crazy". This should settle-down within a few days. If not, some tweaking of the skimmer should not be required.
