Please could someone confirm if my fish has white spot.

About 4-5days ago my platy was flicking but showed no visible signs of any description (which has happened before - no symptoms) Because she's done this before with no visible signs I treated with Protozin and this seemed to work, so I thought I'd do the same this time.

Today is my 3rd day of using the protozin, and when I was doing a water change I noticed a white grain of sugar on her tail fin, at last I have a visible sign!!! :) In one way I'm really pleased that I can now see something but because I've never seen it before I would just like someone to tell me if this is a white spot sign, and am I treating her with the right medicine. I have turned the temp up to 26/27 am i doing the right thing?

She seems to be quite perky, eating well.

Thank you.

If the spot looks like a grain of salt its whitespot.

Thanks Wilder

I'm glad that I have a sign, am I treating her with the right treatment, and the temp thing?

Yep your doing fine, protozin should cure that in no time, well done in catching it at an early stage!,

Just incase, if she still has a white spot on her tail fin after the 6th day of treatment (which is the last day) do I start another treatment of protozin? How does that work, what do I do?

Thank you

Yes carry on with the med, best to medicate up to a full week after spots have gone.
Good luck.
