i am cycling my tank with. i have an oscar and it looks like someome sprinkled sugar on him. is this ich?.

As you are cycling the tank i wouldnt like to say what to do next, can you remove the oscar from the tank and treat it with meds.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.
Raise temp to 30 and increase aeration.
Don't raise temp till you have added the med.
Remove black carbon from the filter if you use it.
