Hi there,

Has anybody tried mixing different carpeting plants to good effects ?

I have been thinking of trying an extremely low growing plant mixed with something slightly bigger in hope to blend it better for better feel of depth.

Pictures or comments greatfully received.

What type of carpet plants are u thinking about?

Riccia and hairgrass if often used.

Not sure as of yet ... however that match up is about the height difference I mean.

I think it would look sweet to have from front to back

low carpet
mid carpet
foreground
mid ground
back ground

Lots of field of depth to be had

lol, thats always a good plan!! Wouln`t want to be putting your rotala at the front of your tank now!

So your question is more about different plant types rather than just carpet plants?

its mainly about the carpet plants.

Most of the tanks I see go from carpet to fore/middle plants. I would like it to blend in fairly well.

Was wondering what carpet plants work well together since I havent seen it done before.
