I have a columbian shark (did have two until the moray they share a tank with filleted one ).

I presume the noise you are worried about is the loud grunting/growling that can sometimes be heard? Many catfishes make these noises and it is nothing to be worried about.

Yes I do In My 55Gallon But I have never heard noises.........that is quite odd.

Could it possibly something else that sounds like it is coming from your tank? Or

possibly a filter making the noise?

I have a silver-tip shark (very similat to a columbian) and haven't yet heard any noise from him. I do hear humming/buzzing noises from my pictus catfish though.

ocasionally i will hear some noises...kinda like grunting from my pictus....i actually like it when they do it...sounds kinda cool...no idea why they do it though,

I got 3 of those guys in a 55g brackish tank. I never heard any noise, but it's relatively noisy around the tank.
