Just noticed today white fungus only on the head of one fish, anyone know what it is and how to treat, added 5 mls of seachem to my 200 litre tank, today

which is the correct dose so don't think it has anything to do with it. No other fish effected.

Have removed to a hospital tank, tested water in there and my main tank both okay, dosed hospital tank with a multi spectrum medication Esha 2000.

I cannot tell from your pics. Is the "fungus" in the mouth of the fish and then spread up from there? If so It could be columnaris.

Columnaris (also referred to as cottonmouth and saddle-back disease) is a disease in fish which results from an infection caused by the Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium Flavobacterium columnare.

The saddleback name comes from the fact that in addition to what appears to be fungus around/in the mouth may also manifest as a white patch on the fish at the base of the dorsal fin.

Well if it is columnar the Esha 2000 is used for that, and I've just read it is safe to add aquarium salt with it, so I have done.

Columnaris require antibiotics to cure it. Since I have to treat the tank, not the fish, I tend not to uses salt in tanks where if most or all the fish are not sick or at least not showing the symptoms.

Columaris comes in a variety of strains. Some wok slowly and may even not be fatal, The most virulent strains can kill fish before they show any symptoms

Fish in hospital still alive and swimming normally, all fish in tank which it was in are looking okay if it was Columaris would other fish by now have white on heads?

I don't think you can buy antibiotics in the UK, and I don't think I will be visiting a vet on fish, I'd be surprised if they knew anything about tropical fish.
