Hi, wondering if anyone has experience with blue ocean shrimp? I am looking into them for my 5g planted tank. Pretty simple, but wondering what people think of them, food, habits, etc etc.

No hands-on experience, but I did get to see them in person at the LFS the other day. They almost looked like they were glowing! I've got a small tank cycling and when it's matured that's exactly what I'm putting in it.
As far as I know care is the same as any other neo so easy peasy. You'll have better luck in a well-established, seasoned tank but they're pretty much a set and forget kinda critter. Have you kept shrimp before?

Ok! So no, I have not, I have kept community fish, and snails, that's it. So I am nervous about getting shrimp, and I want to get everything right! Thanks @gimme30 !

Stable conditions are really the main thing, and if you've got that then you're good to go! This is a good resource if you want to read up on them: https://www.fishforums.net/forums/shrimps-other-invertebrates.30/
Specifics are listed but honestly just consider them guidelines. I've kept them for years sometimes in less than ideal conditions and they always manage to adapt and thrive. Probably the only "must do" sort of thing is to keep hardness up if you have soft water-they'll have less trouble molting.
Well, and don't put something in with them like an oscar. Or barracuda. Things will go south pretty quick in those scenarios.:)

just to clarify... these are not salt water shrimp???

the little digging I've done, looks like they are a color variation of the blue neo shrimp???

No they are freshwater. Like you already said, they are a color variation of neo shrimp. I have found them on lots of online stores.
