Just wondering how many ppl breed bettas.
I dont. Its just to hard for me and quite expensive.
Not to mention you cant find females around here.

Yes, I do. It can be pricey, but I got an 80 gallon pump the other day at Petsmart for 14 bucks, so that will save me on pumps and outlets.

I am breeding swordies!
Not bettas... :dunno:

Here is a topic about them. The male isn't the daddy, atleast i think not.

I've just started breeding them, about to start my second spawn :)

just had my first spawn. the fry will be a week old just after midnight tonight :)

happily retired from breeding.
it's nice to actually have time for things other than water changes and feeding. feels great to have a life again. ;)

In about two weeks I will. I'm having a tug o war here, I was originally going to use Kieow as the male but Pao is getting a lovelly red sheen, is much 'cleaner' looking and has more defined tail markings... I'll get the same result whoever I use, but I think I'll go for Pao now

I've been breeding bettas for about a year now. I'm a bit hesitant about shipping them though, so currently im only selling locally.

i'd like to try, but it seems very time consuming. i work a normal 40hr/wk like everyone else and there's no one to baby (erm.. spawn) - sit for me while i'm at work.. maybe after i retire i'll give it a try.. alright.. 45 more years till retirement! i'm there!

I know it seems VERY time consuming and expensive.
I would love to breed but I guess its not meant to be right now.
I will probably when I move out and get my own place.
