Diy C02

Now I've read o a lot on here about pressurised C02 being turned off at night and a timer putting it back on in the mornings, so my question is do I disconnect my diy C02 at night or is it safe to leave it on,I've ran it now for approx 7 months leaving it on all the time with from what I can see no ill effect to the fish but is it wise to do this.

Only need to turn it off at night if you inject a really high bubble rate during the day, which would prove to be too much when coupled with respiration from plants and fish.
Also it saves a bit of cash
