Dividing A Tank

Hi

Was wonder if anyone has had any experience using perspex as a divider in an established tank, mainly asking what's the best way to secure it, and any other advice.

I'm guessing drlling a lot of holes in the perspex would still allow filtration.

I'm asking as I've just came home from work and found my angels spawning on the filter, and would like to divide this off from the rest of the tank.
