Discus Panik

In my tank sometimes like one of my discus will panick all of a sudden for some reason and its like a knock on affect then they all start jumping about everywhere and banging into the glass etc.

why is this?

it only happens sometimes and it canbe for like nor eason at all.

Could be lots of reasons....

Loud noises, people passing tank quickly, vibrations, over active tank mates, bad water quality, flukes/diseases etc.

no loud noises or passing quickly as its only me and im very carefull.

no over active tankmates
water quality fine

and no signs of any disease etc

The only reason why my fish panic sometimes is when someone (not myself) pass by my fish tank suddenly. I think the whole thing about vibrations is rubbish, as I live on a main street in my city and people drive by with nice sound systems that rattle my whole house. The fish don't even flinch.

Not sure what else it could be. Possibly check for Planaria, or water fleas?

If one fish thinks something had just happened it may spook the other fish, and thus spook him too. Could just be an accidental chain reaction.
