In my research I'm beginning to get a little frustrated with how much man has tampered with this species, I must admit. There's so many strains it's near impossible to identify anything with any certainty. Almost seems like guppies all over again.
What about the natural strains, or already well established ones?
Still quite a bunch of wild strains too. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head, I am more of a domesticated kind of guy. There are heckels and green tefes, brown discus, blue/royal blue discus, curipera, royal/red spotted greens to name a few but there are more. A few common domesticated strains are pigeon based strains, turq based strains, snakeskin based strains, leopard based strains, cobalts, blue diamonds and marlboro reds.
