Different food

I'm tired of flakes and i know about live foods such as blood worm or brine shrimp, i have even tried cucumber and peas as i know tropical fish love these. However i wondered if there was anyother food that i can feed them as a treat or even just for a change. Food that i can maybe find around the house instead of going out and buying it. Something that will keep them interested and make them look forward to meal times!
Any sugestions?

egg - hard boiled egg yolk, small pieces... haven't tried it myself but heard it provides them with a lot of protien!

yup i got sum, u can go digging and find baby earth worms or just find a big one and chop him up, they love these. and also im working on masquito larve in a pot outside because thats wat my guppys would eat out in the wild. ( u can also try egg yolk (boild) )

you can really use earth worms and they would eat them! thats gross! I take it i have to wash off the mud befor putting it the tank yeah?

well u have o buy this stuff but u could give them plankton i give it 2 my fish and they love it
