Hi

I recently took ownership of a breeding pair of 'blue acara' but looking online I am a little confused as they maybe 'green terrors' not the A. pulcher I was led to believe.
This wasnt a purposeful action, but I think possibly a simple mistake.

I havent taken any pictures of the two fish yet, as they are still very skitsh, when I enter the fish house, at the moment.
But here are the pics from the original owner

Any help on this would be great.

Sorry mate, i would have to say green terror, often mis taken for blue acara., blue acara does not have the yellow ring around edge of tail

Thanks Nelly,

Thats what I thought :( and they were being pretty aggressive with the firemouth that they came with. He is now in my big tank with some other fish, and doing ok.

I will see what happens with them and if needs be I have some fish I can move around to give them a bigger thank, currently in a 35gallon I think.

on a side note, I finally got the C. bleheri to eat some worms this morning :) hopefully the start of them getting back to normal. thanks for the advice with that.

Thanks Nelly,

I am in North Wales, although I do go to London quite a bit as I work for a company down there. Probably not plausible trip :)

Im gonna hang onto them for now, and see what happens, I have the tank space so its not too much of an issue :)
