Went to do my water change and found I have a very sick guppy. I've been keeping my water absolutely pristine since another one of my male guppies recently burnt his tail. Anyhow, began my water change to find a different male sat at the bottom of the tank unwilling to swim around. No idea what is wrong with him but I assume this is a very very bad sign. I had no reason to suspect anything yesterday.

What is it with guppies at the moment? There's been so many people suffering unexplained guppy deaths & illness at the moment.

I've been one of them for the last 3ish months! Its been my male guppies only though.

Well sorry for your loss! It always has to be the beautiful males....

Has he been doing anything unusual recently or have other fish been doing anything bad to him?

No, not at all. I had some problems awhile ago, then an episode of paranoia which amounted to nothing... this was sudden and unexpected.

None of my males pick on each other, just go round and round the tank taking turns chasing each other, no nipping or anything ever.

Just like mine playing chase! Maybe it was just worn out. Mine was from 3 baby guppies chasing him! Poor guy ended up getting stuck in the filter!
