Starting over a month ago i stated to get what i believe to be diatoms growing everywhere in my tank. I was told that increasing the light would make them go away. Right now my light is on 24/7. I'm using a fluorescent bulb. This might not mean anything but this is what the box has on it. ( It has 10,000K daylight and Atinic 03 Blue)
I was wondering if anyone knows of a chemical that would assist me. Or any other ideas.

Is this a newly set up tank? if so, brown algae is very common in new tanks. Tanks that are less than 6 months old will many times experience diatom outbreaks, you may have to just wait it out. There are other culprits such as...tap water containing high amounts of silicate and or phosphate. We really need more infomation on your situation to help more, Good luck..Joe.
