I think I might need a bit more circulation in my tank, but don't want a big ugly powerhead ripping it up, is there a really small discreet one available?

Hows big is your tank and what turnover do you already have? this will determine what we can recommend.

It approx 220l with a Fluval 305 running, I just need something at the other end of the tank to the inlet. Fluval say its a 1000lph t/o so say about 500l or so.

But like I said, I just want to know what is a small unit, not necessarily the ideal from a planter point of view. I have Java ferns and crypts so discretion is more important than fast growth.

In my 240l i use 2 of these, http://www.aquariumsuperstore.co.uk/Hydor-Koralia-Evolution-Nano-900lph.html

Very nice and discrete.

Heh, not exactly cheap though.

Resun used to do a 1000l/h one, which you could get from the far east for about £10. However, they appear to have stopped doing them now and only do 2000+.

I really dislike the fact that to get a small wavemaker you have to buy a Koralia, because Hydor can pretty much charge what they want. Not exactly a fair market that is it? :grr:

What is giving you the impression you need better circulation? Do you have algae or plant problems? I had z set up with crypts and it had 2x turnover and was stunning with no problems.
