Daylight fish?

I would like to know if guppys or corys would do well with only daylight.....

I had to pull all lights off my lower 55G today because all my plants are in the upper one. But I would definitely rather just leave the male guppys in the bottom tank.

They will both do fine without light. I keep my breeding tanks in the basement and only have light on them when I am working on the tanks. I have both guppies and cory cats and they both seem to be doing fine without any light.
