I don't normally post in coldwater and ponds, but I have some bad news.
Dave Caesar, the renowned coldwater and ponds keeper, long time speaker around the clubs and societies in England, North American Natives author and advocate, and a familiar face on the show circuit - also a personal friend of mine, died this week. His funeral is on Wednesday.
A long term member of Tongham Aquarist Society, his quirky sideways look at life was always welcome. My "meetings" with Dave, and a few of the other regulars at Tongham in "the office", (the pub across the road from the Victoria Hall where TAS met for a long while), were always an enlightening, entertaining and anticipated event. As familiar with a water lily or a Mimulus as some obscure darter, Dave always had something to contribute.
An intruiging, sensitive yet very private character. Those that knew him, will miss this gentle soul.
