Cycling In A Small Tank

Hey all,

How can i make sure i'm properly cycling a small (2.5 gal) tank without spending big bucks? Are there cheap reusable water test kits? Are there special dangers in cycling a little tank like that? Thanks!

you are unlikely to get a cycle going in a 2.5 gallon, its better to do frequent water changes, keep testing the water and change when the ammonia level rises, lots of people keep 2.5 gallons in different manners.

Check your local pet/fish store for prices of test kits. Liquids are more accurate than strips, I hear.
