So I got the sponge filter from https://angelsplus.com/products/active-sponge-filter and https://fritzaquatics.com/products/fritzzyme-turbostart-700-freshwater. I read the cycling article on this forum about the scheduling on when and how much ammonia to add and such. I was wondering if adding the sponge filter to help introduce the beneficial bacteria changes the process a bit in terms of how much ammonia to add and during which phase of the cycling process I should put the sponge in the tank. Should I just put it in the tank as soon as I get it? Or should I wait for some sort of sign or reading?
