So after 10 days cycling with live rock I had some ammonia.a nitrite spike then nitrate.todays test has ammonia.o.nitrite.0.nitrate 20.will these possibly spike or are we cycled.
So if the cycle has completed in 10 days Its surely still too early to add cuc considering there is not much for them to eat.
Should I wait until the tank has gone through the uglies?

Do you have any algae growing on the rocks or on the walls?

Getting some slight film on walls Matt.the rock came with a bit of algae on it.

There was also a three inch worm darting about on lights up.I think the chance of me ever catching it is zero

The worm is probably a bristle worm they are rather comman in most reefs.

If you don't have any real algae going on then I'd get the first fish and a small cleaning crew at the same time.

This is a video just done by the team at BRS about a clean up crew. They are a very good company and I've purchased many of my reef supplies from them so I trust there videos and it's always good to learn new things so hopefully this will shed some light on a clean up crew and help you make your choices.
