I have cyanobacteria, the bluegreen algae stuff that really isn't algae, in the 10 gallon that I am trying to cycle.
I had it before I left for my trip. I am afraid my actions of trying to get rid of it might have been the cause of the cycle crashing. It says on the box of the UltraLife blue green slime remover that is won't bother the bacteria or the cycle. But I am afraid it did anyway. So since it crashed, I decided to dose the tank before I left for the trip with the slime remover and figured when I got back home, the slime would be history and I could try the cycle again. Well, it is not history. There is still a lot of it in the tank.
So since that did not work, how do I get rid of it. I really thought it would work. I have read a lot of posts and reviews that say it does. But it sure didn't work for me. And now I am afraid to try a cycle with it.
Any thoughts?
