Does culling mean killing excess fry, using fish as feeders, or something else?

Culling means to dispose of a fish, usually when breeders breed large-scale they have to cull some fish, fish that are deformed or don't meet their "standards".

It can be cruel but it also prevents deformities and allows the best to survive.
It is naturally done by most animals except they tend to either fight or neglect.
Those that just flysh away are cruel as this is not a quick way.
Death is always painful. All we can hope is they do not keep breeding .
If for food then it's a natural way,
