my CUC are doing a great job on my tank so much so I am a little worried they will clear all the algae up. I am setting up a second tank but will be a while before its ready. I will switch my lights on for 2 more hours a day. Is there any food I can add to the tank if needed please?

130L tank
5 Blue legged hermits
10 small nassiurus
3 ceriths
1 mithrax Emerald crab
1 Super Turbo snail
3 Turbo snails
1 fighting conch

You could feed them some dried Nori Seaweed. Most of your CUC will be fine just picking up the leftovers fo the fish food but the conch would probably need some additional feeding.

My Strombus luhuanus (not a "fighting conch" exactly but very closely related) prefers mushy, falling apart krill pellets over nori in most cases. It will pick at nori, but usually goes for the krill pellet debris first.

Also, beware of the emerald crab getting hungry. Emeralds are not pure herbivores, and small-ish conches (most fighting conches) are easy targets for any true crab that wants a snack since they don't have an operculum to lock themselves in. Once you start splitting the CUC between tanks, keeping the conch and crab separated wouldn't be a bad idea.

As well as dried seaweed placed low down on a clip, try marine granules or press some flake between your fingers underwater to form a wafer before dropping into tank..

Thanks I will grab some nori not sure the emarald is brave enough to tackle the conch as the conch is twice his size atm ;)
