crab covered in algea

i currently have a bad algea problem in my tank and my arrow crab get covered in purple algea. is this bad for him? is this ok? hes not covered in the morning by it but by the afternoon hes covered. i dont want to let this go on if this is bad for him. thnx for any help

don't know if its bad for him but if you add a cleaner shrimp to your tank he might actually clean him up a little.
