Crab and snail questions

How big do apple snails grow to?

My crab has become a bit of a recluse, hidding in a little castle I have, Iam wondering what I can do to get him out and socialising with the rest of the community, with out removing the castle, any idieas?

Also, how big do crabs grow to?

The crab came out today but as soon as a fish came near him, he darted off agian

the Apple Snails (Pomacea bridgesi) that I keep get about the size of a golf ball.

It depends on what crab you have. Red Claw Crabs and Fiddler crabs get about 2". They tend to hide a lot.

How big do apple snails grow to?

According to the Baensch Aquarium Atlas (isbn 3-88244-050-3), the stripey apple snail Ampullaria grows to the size of a tennis ball!
