i dont count my small shrimp in the bioload count but should the larger shrimps such as the bamboo or the giant african filter shrimp count in the bio load if so then how much should i account for, should it be the same as fish?

Shrimp don't produce much waste on average, same as neon tetras realy, but should be included in the bioload none the less i.e say one 1inch shrimp= 1 neon tetra in stocking, so as long as you have the minimum tank space required for keeping the shrimp in the first place just follow the 1inch of fish per gal rule from then onwards  .

*I think* Shrimps produce quite a lot of poop but amazingly little of nitrate. Also, for example red cherry are 2cm long so I'd say more like 2-3 red cherry make as much waste as a neon tetra. Amano shrimp, Caridina Japonica could be even with neon tetra maybe. Filterfeeders don't produce much either because they often eat very little too. *I think*

i read somewhere that there is a loose guide of 1 shrimp per 1/4 gallon. not sure how accurate this is.
