I have just bought a bubble curtain which came with integral Red Led's.
Its looks great at night when main lights are turned out.

My Questions are :-
1 - Is it advisable to leave the Led's on overnight (once the main lights are out)?
2 - Will this cause distress/problems to my fish?
or
3 - Is it adviseable to to say turn the main lights off at 6pm leaving the Led's on until about 10pm before darkening the tank completely?
4 ;- Although I have red Led's I have also seen blue and green, which one would be best for the fish (or do they even care)?

1. It's not exactly advisable due to risks of the LED's blowing and possibly even exploding in the middle of the night.
2. No, it won't bother than. I've left blue, red and green LED's on in my tank before and the fish were fine.
3. This would be a good option

4. Blue is a lot more natural as it mimics moonlight to an extent but they won't be bothered.

I answered yes to leaving lights on all night which means effectively the fish will be lit 24/7 and have no period of darkness. However I suspect he actually meant do the lights affect the fish generally, to which the answer is probably as you posted.

Yeah I think he meant do they affect the fish in general which it wouldn't. Plus, they would still have darker areas to escape to if they wanted to as unless the LED are all over the tank they will only light a certain area :)
