Could You Identify My Sticks Please ?

could anybody please tell me what plants these are and if they could go in my fish tank,one is from a rose bush (i think) but i could be wrong it was quite thick and had large thorns all over it ,i have took them off but i would like to leave the bark on.the second one i remember it was from a large tree.It was full of orange marks witch would get on you cloths if you touched it i would sand this so it had the bark effect but the orange marks were gone thanks for any help

Using wood that is found is a pain as it will more than likely contain sap, it needs to be dead a while then sterilised and I'd remove the bark too.

both of theses have been dead for over 6 months ,i'll remove the bark how can i sterilize them ? just pour boiling water over it ? thanks

Yeah that's a good idea, another is to submerge the whole thing in very hot water for a while.
