Last week, I got a new plant. I ran it under the tap for a few seconds. Like a quick rinse if anything. Today, I scooped some water out so I could isolate a snail I had, and I was checking it out with a flashlight and saw something moving in the water. Imagine a baby snail. Imagine the size of the feelers. Now imagine the size of the end of if. The very tip. That's how big it was. It was swimming sporaddically. Should I be concerned? What could it be?

It sounds like a baby fish most likely a Betta. Check the surface of your tank for more.

I only have 2 males divided. Could a baby shrimp have hitched it in when the snail did a week or two ago??

Perhaps there were some eggs laid on the plant at the fish store?

Well, wouldn't mind that! They keep tetras in that tank, could that be it??

So, possible types it could be is tetra or angel or discus. Those are all that's kept in those tanks. Water flows from discus to angela to tetras
