A singel hermit crab

Nah just joking , I think it would be a bad idea to try any Marine fish in such a little amount of water

Corals possibly, but I'm not a reef person. I've had that put to me as an idea, but went with a FW plant hospital instead.

The only thing you can do with a 1g is a pico reef consisting of very low maintainance small corals like zoanthids.

There are people over at nano-reef.com that have successfully run 1g pico reefs, but I can imagine it's not easy.

That is terrible and he has a fish & a Clam in there, bloody silly bugger

those nano-reef people have no respect for livestock I tell ya. As far as the origional question goes only small polyps and maybe one or two small snails or hermits. but evaporation would be a major problem.

There is a fish in there, its not getting the respect it deserves, there are even nanoreefers who put tangs in 15 gallon tanks. I'll bet a snail or hermit could live comfortably in a picoreef of 1 gallon however. What exactly is it that you differ on?
