I have 2 of them, and when i first got them they were really active, but now they just stay in one place for quite a while not moving at all, then every once in a while i seen one of them move then go still again

I had gotten this tank from my daughters dad for the kiddo ( who is 2 1/2 BAHHH)

and i have been reading tons of stuff on the forum and the tank was never cycled or anything he just brough the fish over the same time as the tank......(iv never moved so fast in my life lol)

I was told to get a master test kit so yesterday after going to like 6 different stores finally found one and the stats are

Nitrate - 0
nitrite - 0
Amonia - .25 - .50 (looks very close to both of them
pH - 8.
temp - 76

Sadly corys are very sensitive to water quality especially the panda cory, how long has the tank been set up, what do the barbals look like on the cory they are the whiskers near the mouth, are the gill red and inflamed, plus is there any red patches on the body of the corys, i would preform a small water change.

it has been up and running with the corys for 2 days now, no red spots or red gils, the whiskers look fine too

I dont know how big these guys get but they are REALLY small right now

I think i would see if the lfs could take them while your tank cycles as i don't think there going to make it in a cycling tank, plus with being bottom dwellers it get rough down there while the tank is cycling, can you increase aeration for now.

ok I will give them a shout!

also there are 2 platys, and they only hang around the heater in the corner??

I dont want to see them all die :-(

yipee.....the one cory is looking so much better now....OMG yeay.....but the other died :( I wonder what happened that made him feel better??

Aww sorry for your loss. :rip: lil' cory.

When your tank is finished cycling, I would get him a companion. Maybe see if the LFS can take him in the meanwhile. Then he will be safe (hopefully) and have company.
