Cory- Euthanize?

My cory is in a very poorly condition.
He's laying on the bottom of the tank upside down or on his side and out of his gills there appears to be white gel. He looks 99% dead but he's still gasping for breath.
I think it is better to euthanize but I want a second opinion.

It does sound as if it might be better to put the fish to sleep, tbh.

I am so sorry.

Unfortunately, fish go down hill quickly. Speaking from experience with dogs, it may be best for both the animal (because they are suffering) and the owner (watching their poor animal suffer), took just put the fish to sleep.

It is so sad to lose a pet.
