Ive had to small cory cats and was wondering is there a way to tell the gender apart because they usually hang out by each other.
Thanks for the help!

They are very hard to tell apart when they are not fully grown. When they are fully matured, females are larger and fatter.

I've been conditiong a group of breeder and finally I can see the difference - female really is much fatter when they are properly conditioned... ;)

They reason they hang out by each other is because they are a schooling fish, not because they are into each other.

Corydoras generally show dimorphism in the body shape, females being fatter and more robust. Some species show dimorphism in the ventral fin shape. Males have a spear-shaped fin, females fins are fat ovals.
