Correct Behavior For My Peppered Cory Catfish?

When i first introduced my 2 Peppered Cory Catfish to my 20 g. tank about a week ago they were fairly active, always looking around in the gravel for algea and such, but now they just sort of hid in the decor and don't move around nearly as much. It that normal for them? i tested the water and everything seems fine.

corys should be kept in large groups.....at least 6 in my opinion
