I keep seeing this but no one backs it up with figures.
In the US last year about 34,000 died, considerably down on the 61,000 the previous year.
How many have died in the US of covid-19 so far? Over a quarter of a million...........about the same as the previous 6 years of flu deaths..........
But no-one dies OF Covid, only WITH it. The underlying conditions are aggravated by the Covid virus. There was a page on the gov.uk website that showed the flu deaths for the past few years. Strangely I can't find it now..........wonder why?

I'm not saying that it's not serious but it's not as bad as we are led to believe. A colleagues wife had the test and she's had Covid but she never had any symptoms whatsoever. Others have differing symptoms. I would guess that 99% of the "others" have an underlying condition.

And explain the penomenen of "Long covid" to me then, people whi were fit and healthy still suffering after the damage it has done to their bod....
you know what, too many tin foil hats in this thread, time to unwatch.
OK......what's the point of explaining it if you're unwatching the thread? If you don't like others opinions perhaps you shouldn't post in such a thread? I respect your opinion but you clearly don't respect others.
And I don't wear a hat

Which is Caribou crap. If initially infected with a large viral load, the virus could be killing millions of cells in your lungs which can kill a healthy person.

A person with an underlying conditions such as asthma could be healthy one day, dead a week later from COVID. The only difference compared to a healthy person, COVID can kill a person with asthma much easier.

One issue medical experts are telling us, the initial viral load when first infected is critical. It is basically a race between the virus and your immune system. For asymptomatic patients, their immune system won the race

Why are you 'guessing' when there is so much info on the web from medical experts?.

Who's guessing? You reply to me as if I'm denying the existence of the virus, which I'm clearly not. However instead of attacking, why not answer my questions?
Why does such a deadly virus only require a face covering? Not a "specific" face covering, any old rag will do.
If a face mask is so effective, why have Asian countries been massively infected? They've been wearing masks for years.
Why, if it's soooo deadly, do you have to have a test to see if you have it / have had it?
Many people think they are fit and healthy, but a person with asthma / diabetes / heart disease etc etc isn't fully fit and healthy are they? People have died and never knew they had health issues until an autopsy was carried out.
Why have so many doctors been hushed who have spoken out against the scaremongering?
Why did Sweden impose zero lockdowns and yet the spread was miniscule?
And if you believe every word the government and the mainstream media tells you, you should start looking elsewhere for the other side of the coin.
If you have a common cold it is either a Rhinovirus or Coronavirus strain. Coronavirus has been around for donkeys years, why are we suddenly afraid of it?
And tell me, where are all these people dying? Every forum, every form of social media, even youtube, people from all areas of the country are saying their hospitals are empty. My local hospital is empty, so is the Nightingale hospital. Where are all these cases????

Spalders ask:

"Why does such a deadly virus only require a face covering? Not a "specific" face covering, any old rag will do."

Actually N95 mask are the best. The virus expelled from your body in small droplet of water (or an aerosol) which can be stopped with a cloth mask.

"If a face mask is so effective, why have Asian countries been massively infected? They've been wearing masks for years."

From Worldmeter.com, yesterday China had 24 new cases, South Korea 124 and Japan had 754. The UK had 23,254 new cases.

"Why have so many doctors been hushed who have spoken out against the scaremongering?"

Tin foil hat territory. In the USA, we have freedom of speech and no doctor has been hushed.

"Coronavirus has been around for donkeys years, why are we suddenly afraid of it?"

This is a new strain which made the jump from another species, these virus tend to be very deadly to humans.

"And if you believe every word the government and the mainstream media tells you, you should start looking elsewhere for the other side of the coin."

I recommend the Nature , a well respected peer reviewed journal. Nature.com also publishes articles on their web site. If there is "other side side of the coin", Nature will publish it.

I see you cherry picked the questions you answered and are still mainly your personal opinions.

In the UK we HAD free speech but everywhere I look for the gov.uk figures, they are gone or have been altered to suit.
The "tin foil hatters" you keep referring to are people who deny the virus exists and use daft words such as "plandemic" and "scamdemic". I accept there is a virus, it's just not as deadly as we are led to believe. Try bitchute. You're allowed a modicum free speech there.

Covid 19 is a new strain, so what? There are new strains of viruses mutating all the time. Hence why you never get immunity to the common cold and influenza.

Test kits have been proven to be grossly ineffective. Sheep and even fruit were testing positive. I'm a MotoGP fan and Valentino Rossi had to be tested 3 times to get a positive diagnosis. Why test 3 times if you trust the test????

The reason numbers of cases have gone up is because more people are getting tested. (Simple maths). Most who apparently have it never knew they had it until being tested.

Not everyone wears an N95 mask. Most people have the equivalent of an old pair of Y fronts on their face. You can even download a mask exemption badge from many websites with no questionnaire at all. And on that point, people who are exempt from wearing a mask are usually suffering from an illness of some kind, usually respiratory. Surely these people NEED to be wearing a mask more than you and I?

Why did Sweden have such tiny numbers when they had 0 lockdown? Herd immunity perhaps? Maybe the virus isn't all that deadly perhaps?

Nature.com will be hushed just like everything else. Doctors have posted videos on youtube and they have been removed as it doesn't fit the agenda. Websites have been taken down due to speaking against Covid. Nature.com will be the same, no ones so special to be left alone.

Why do masses of protesters not become sick with Covid apart from the odd one here and there? Are the majority of protesters immune????

Why can my child mix with your child and teachers at school, (3 households there, not counting the other 100's of kids and teachers) yet you and I can't meet up as it's mixing households? That's the biggie for me, utter stupidity.

Why are the Nightingale and most hospitals across the UK empty? Where are all these people dying?

I have been working in a school where I was building a desk for a staff member. I was literally working inches away from her for four days. Two days after I completed the work she had a cough and temperature and tested positive for Covid. I had to have a test and I have nothing at all. It's so deadly and contagious that....errr......I didn't get it.
Working the places I do I've been sneezed on, coughed on, shared mugs and biscuits with others, all without masks worn by them or I. We've all been working together for weeks on end and we are all fine. Our families are fine. That's how contagious it is.

I could go on and on and on, but I won't. Clearly many people here believe it's a killer and I respect that. But people also have to respect that we don't all believe they hype and exaggeration. I wear my slave muzzle in shops etc out of respect for others but it's removed the second I step outside.

Here's another thought. Here in the UK we are closing gyms, bars, restaurants, pubs etc. But not workplaces, schools, universities etc. So basically you can go do your daily drudge but you can't go out and enjoy yourself. If you treated your wife that way it would be classed as mental abuse.

You don't want to get this thing, and only when someone close to you dies, with it, from it, then you will take it seriously. This is the problem with civil liberties. But when you are dying, you want someone else to risk their lives to save yours.

As I said, I'm not saying the virus isn't there or real. I'm saying that for 99% of people it's not a death sentence.
I admire the NHS (they've opened me up and fixed me more times than I care to remember) and I wouldn't say a word against their work, especially during the worst times. However, some of my points cannot be denied. If it were so contagious why do I not have it, and all these thousands of protesters? We can't all be immune can we?
When people say you get Covid from 5G...utter drivel. I'm not quite that daft. But the next time you have a common cold just remember it's a new strain of either rhino or coronavirus.

Covid 19 is a new strain, so what? There are new strains of viruses mutating all the time. Hence why you never get immunity to the common cold and influenza.

In normal years, the common cold and influenza are mutation of an existing virus strain found in humans. Typically in pandemic years, a new strain of virus comes from another species such as bats. Current research has identified bats as the host for COVID-19, there is a ~94% DNA match between the viruses. How the human immune system works is well past my education and knowledge, you need to do your own research.

Viruses such as the common cold will evolve over time to a less lethal form. Highly deadly viruses which quickly kill the host tend to die off, dead people rarely infect others.

For your other questions, I will not do your homework for you, it is a complete waste of my time. If you want to learn, go to web sites such as nature.com instead of tin foil hat sites like bitchute.

Freedom of speech does not mean that every web site is obligated to publish your opinions. If you want to get published on Nature.com, collect the evidence to support your ideas by doing the research, use the peer review process to confirm your findings and you may get published by well a respected journal.

Covid doesn't want to kill the host, it's main purpose is to spread. Killing the host is pointless to any virus. And yes, that comes from a doctor who is a viral specialist.
Maybe you should grow up and respect others opinions and stop calling them "tinfoil hats"? (I haven't aimed personal insults your way.) I call it lateral thinking. Try it.
I'm not asking you to "do my homework" I'm asking questions that you clearly cannot answer. And if I'm such a waste of your time, why reply to me, a "tinfoil hat"? (Which you clearly have no clue of it's actual meaning.)
And perhaps you should view the other side of the coin rather than waiting for a website to do it for you? Obviously it's OK for nature.com to do your homework?

I expect I can count on your vote for tank of the month?

what happened to this thread? if people are dying because the virus aggravates the things that do kill them, isn't that technically killing them?

Maybe it is OK for most people. I spent 2 weeks of hell in April waiting for my daughter to text every morning to confirm she was still alive. She was literally too weak to speak, but because she is under 30 and fit was not deemed a priority by the health services, even though she lived on her own. Its now 7 months later and she has had to give up her job because she is still incapable of the physical demands put on a racehorse trainer.

Today I have another relative in hospital. He went in for something unrelated and was diagnosed with covid-19. The only symptom he experienced was confusion / delirium. Thing is he is now unable to return home because he is displaying symptoms of advanced dementia. Sure he is 85 and may (but also may not) have had early signs but a month later he has completely lost touch with reality. This is widely reported as a common symptom in the elderly but nobody is able to answer the question about whether this is likely to be permanent or not (covid is now gone and there is no infection and no meds) and we have no idea if he will ever be able to return home or lead a normal life.

I for one will continue to take whatever precautions I can.

Have you been tested, are you sure you are not asystematic?
