I welcomed Cope pods greatly into my aquarium, they provide a food source for my fish, their are 100's of them everywhere. I've read they are sign of a healthy tank. Is this true?

They're a sign that your microfauna is finding enough food and shelter to breed more that they're eaten. There are people who would see that as a bad sign and want to get rid of them. Personally I'm planning to start my new tank with a thriving microfauna before I consider adding any fish. They're very good for keeping the tank clean.

Just out of curiosity: freshwater or marine?
