i have a pair of convict chichilds and when i looked the other day they laid eggs on a leaf.
when i checked the following day they were gone.
do they move their eggs or have they eating them ?
im gutted as i was looking forward to seeing some little fishies.

Are there any other fish in the tank? just find it odd for convicts to spawn on a leaf, they usually prefer a flat rock or plant pot/cave. If there are no other fish they may have just eaten the eggs as they didnt feel they were safe on a leaf.

:good:

Or if you have any catfish i.e. bristlenoses or common pleco, they eat eggs

Have you got a plant pot in there or some sort of cave? if not pop one in they may feel safer next spawning :good:

It usually take 2-4 attempts before they get the hang of things, so give it time and before you know you'll be over run with them
